I’m a big proponent of acting ethically and with integrity ... intentionally stealing someone else’s work and calling it one’s own is about as low as you can get for me

I’d probably move Nate off the Top 5 (if building a semi legit team) as you need a bigger 2nd guard

Both Nate and Isaiah played much bigger than their physical size plus they both had heart. Not to mention that Nate was a freak of an athlete and Isaiah was an above average athlete as well. That backcourt would give other teams fits on both ends on the court.

Going from what I saw growing up which would start in the 1980s I would go with:

    C Christian Welp
    F Detlef Schrempf
    F Brandon Roy
    G Isaiah Thomas
    G Nate Robinson

Throw in Matisse as the 6th man defensive stopper and you got yourself a sqwuaaaaaad

I’m not disagreeing with you in that they were both special players

But just as athletic ability is a prerequisite, so is size and you effectively have 2 sub 6 foot guards. There are tons of challenges there.

Go back and watch the 1 seeded team play Louisville that was extremely long all over the see the inherent problems that size causes when you don’t have it

Might even win a game in dance with Hopkins at helm

    Jon Brockman?

Went to High School with Jon. Fucking rad dude. Played in WESCO where all his competition was 6 foot to 6 foot 2 white dudes. Throw the ball in the post and dunk almost every play. I’m surprised how well it translated to college.

I wondered if Todd MacCulloch should make this list, his wiki page says that he averaged 25 pts 16 rebs in college. If that were true (it's not), he'd make this team.
