It's almost as if it's easier to control an extremely contagious virus in a lightly populated state with a density of 11 ppl/mile vs a state with 420 ppl/sq mile including the largest and densest city in the country.

If only New York had an Emmy-winning leader who published a book on how he kicked Covid’s ass.

It's FS to compare the trends between the two states. If anything, the fact that the deaths per 1M are similar (1800 vs 2000) is an indictment on Noem.

Look who wasn’t around all fall when @HHusky was poasting multiple times a day about Noem’s supposed failures. Butt out.

Large % decreases from massive spikes. Like leading the league in number of kickoff returns, this isn't as impressive as you make it out to be, Igor.

In any event, congrats on feeling better after your self-inflicted wounds South Dakota.

What's the difference if an old person on their last leg dies of heart disease or Covid. Either way they were going to be dead in a year.
The death counts are so flawed for this very reason. A lot of these people were dying no matter what.
A few would have died anyway. We had about 400,000 excess deaths last year.

When you could live with a condition for decades, but you get Covid and die, it's not that hard to conclude that getting Covid was the reason you died.
