The other day I read half an article from the Seattle Times. Headline was something like Hopkins looking to pull Huskies out of rut. And then early in the article it says how he gave the players 7 days off before Christmas to help get them re-focused.
Jen, it's time to pull the plug. -
Hop finished dead last in a garbage Pac-12 with TWO FIRST ROUND PICKS and an average supporting cast. Then he recruited zero players in the H.S. cycle of that year. The failure is so categorical, so all-consuming, that it's almost impressive. This will be my last UW bball post until this Descent-monster-looking clown coach is fired.
We're also very close to reaching the 'close the book on Jen Cohen' breaking point. -

To absolute no surprise, the University of Washington basketball game against the Arizona State Sun Devils scheduled for Saturday afternoon at Alaska Airlines Arena was postponed because of COVID-19 issues.
ASU (4-3) earlier this week bowed out of its game in Pullman, Washington, against Washington State and it seemed highly unlikely Bobby Hurley's team could get healthy in time to face the Huskies or want to travel to the Northwest for a single game.
The Pac-12 will attempt to reschedule these contests at some point.
This marked the first game cancellation or postponement for the Huskies (1-7) since the season's opening week when they had a tournament and three games at home wiped out by the pandemic.
Disappointment over the Huskies being unable to play Saturday's game should be palpable in Seattle because the team is off to its worst start in 63 seasons, not only losing nonstop but losing badly.
Coach Mike Hopkins' Huskies took 11 days off over Christmas and hoped to come out renewed against Arizona on Thursday night.
The Wildcats never trailed and won 80-53.
The UW's next game, pandemic permitting, comes on Thursday at Stanford (5-2) in Palo Alto, California, with a 6 p.m. tipoff in a game that will be shown on FS1. -

Texas paid 24 million to buy out Herman, buying out Hop is a bargain, compared to the damage... 100 percent has to happen!

The guy is taking 11 days off for the holidays in the middle of the fucking season where he will be lucky to win 5 games, finished dead last with two first round picks on the team, literally didn’t recruit at all, and let a sexual assaulter stay on the team.
Pay him a quarter of the buy out and tell him he should be glad he is getting anything and isn’t going to get dicked down in a NCAA tribunal and Seattle times expose for the way he ran (or hasn’t) the program. -
