i've said it many times before and i'll say it again.

"The Brothers don't wait to get paid, money talks, bullshit runs a marathon, so see ya! and I wouldn't wanna be ya"

    https://youtu.be/G5fuvbe449s

love the passion but all this grassroots, forums bullshit is just that ... bullshit. Is it really going to change anything?

    No.

What we need is the same thing that the big boys have = money and boosters and a culture that cares about football.

If Bill Gates dangled millions in front of Jen's v-neck t-shirt he'd get shit done.

Until then it's more of the same.

Ohio State beat us out for Egbuka because they are better. Boner and Gregory aren’t the reason.

Sure, fire them, but what we really need to do is develop and win because we have never signed top 5 classes like Ohio State does every year.

Fuck recruiting. Quit losing two games every season against shitty teams like Cal and Stanford. Maybe win a couple big games. Not all, just some. Do that and recruiting improves.

This. We have the fucking 41 plus fucking 4/5 stars now. Shut the fuck up about recruiting and fucking win. Beating Ohio State in the Rose Bowl would have done wonders for our brand.
    I blame rapp.

Phil Knight didn't care about football either. Recruiting boosters is a talent not many can do.
Phil Knight has cared about football since 1995, which is still fairly early considering the sport had only been invented the year prior.

Phil knight may not be a rag rah football guy ... but he's an oregon guy at every level.

Motivation, reputation and money/support with regards to facilities etc and nike industry backing.

Washington doesn't really have that apart from a decent Adidas deal and some middling pnw reputation for academics and Bruce lee.

Money has never been an issue in the athletic dept at uw compared to other schools on the west coast. Historically we have had no problem with facilities or paying our coaches more than other teams out west.

Apathy and the pussification of the city and fan base is real though. Money could be an issue the further we go down the road.

I don’t buy the “pussification of the city” part when you look at the Seahawk fanbase, which exploded during the Huskies “lost decade” of ‘04-‘14.

It’s just a lost opportunity and it falls squarely on the AD.

This. The one asset UW has is playing in a shitty conference with a roster of players who were more highly sought after than the opponents' rosters.

But they play like fucking little bitches on the field. UW's brand is getting some publicity and then playing like retards for 2/3 of their marquee national matchup.

Even beating Auburn would have helped, but no the Huskies had to get cute and run a fucking option play with Browning.

So far this year, same shit. Spend half the game getting exploited by some random opponent then come back for a moral victory.

    Since Buffs and Utes joined.

Overall USC has been head and shoulders recruiting rankings wise but UW Furd and Duck have been basically the same level over the past 5-6 years. Somehow the most apathetic program in the conference has had some of the most success. Explain that? Oregon is much less confounding because they do everything that we complain UW doesn't do.

It’s real. Youth football is not what it once was and less people are playing especially In inner cities not just in Seattle but up and down the west coast. Mom stepping in saying their kid can’t play which I think is dumb but it’s the reality. Having lived in other parts of the country they do not care about the danger of football like Seattle/west coast. They just want to play. It’s why football was never canceled in the south.

Nor in at least some of the midwest. I know Ohio played a 6-7 game regular season and 4-5 game tournament.
