Let me answer this for you. The reasons that the cases are pretty similar at this point are:
1) FUCKING LOCKDOWNS DON'T WORK TO STOP THE SPREAD OF A VIRUS.
2) MASKS MAY FUCKING WORK A LITTLE BIT. WHO FUCKING KNOWS? NOBODY DOES. THE EVIDENCE SUGGESTS THEY CERTAINLY DON'T WORK VERY MUCH.
