we have a well documented Stanford problem...however

Win the fucking conference. Anything else is a failure.

Something, something tallest midget... but you're right. I don't have confidence that UW can go on the road and beat Oregon since they're mindfucked against Stanford and... Oregon.

Same old shit against Stanford will be the same old shit against Oregon.

Our standard 2 DT, 2 OLB, 2 ILB, 5 DB defense gets its shit pushed in every year since Pete/Kiwak have been here save for when Vita Vea was here. It’s stupid. Every year the same shit. Second half we? ran bigger DL and held them to one TD. Fucking stupid.

Shaw is hands down the most predictable and uninventive coach in the conference. What Kwat and Lake were doing all week is beyond perplexing. They obviously figured it out after one half, but it wasn't enough and how the fuck did they not see that coming?AEB said:Our standard 2 DT, 2 OLB, 2 ILB, 5 DB defense gets its shit pushed in every year since Pete/Kiwak have been here save for when Vita Vea was here. Why Kwat doesn't just fucking give in and go to 4 DT base against Stanford/jumbo situations is beyond me. You can even keep a nickel look, just roll your best 6-7 blocker eaters through with their hand on the ground, which this year might include Bowman and Latu.AEB said:Our standard 2 DT, 2 OLB, 2 ILB, 5 DB defense gets its shit pushed in every year since Pete/Kiwak have been here save for when Vita Vea was here. And his head coach talks about wanting the offense to be multiple, NFL style where the game plan changes from week to week depending on match-ups.Emoterman said:

Yet every year sit back with two safeties 15 yards from LOS as Stanford lines up with 1 wr and 8 te's/OL so it becomes 10 on 9 for them all game long and wonder why they shove it down are throat all game.

Is it that hard to change to a "conventional" defense for Stanford?
We go through this every year.
It's like having all season tires for most conditions.
Stanford is like ice driving in the Winter. Totally different. You NEED to slap on some winter tires and then you can perform.
Keeping the usual all weather tires in there conditions is knowing failure when you can out winters on.
What the fuck man.
Just go conventional and let the talent win against stanford. -
Kwat is not elite (lol) against Stanford. What is this stubborn bullshit? You play to win the game not maintain an identity at any cost.
That was a really miserable performance, making Stanford look like a powerhouse, fucking pathetic. -
It’s pretty embarrassing. I hear these reports that Stanford sucks and can’t do their goal line bullshit anymore but it seems to work just fine against us.Kingdome_Urinals said:Kwat is not elite (lol) against Stanford. I’m not upset by the Furd loss only because the offense schemed well enough to win (drops in the 1H and missed reads by a rFr average QB1 lead to no TDs) and the boneheaded defensive scheme was expected.
I would say I hope the coaches learn from this, but they won’t - it’s a stone cold fact the college football coaches by in large are the most overpaid employees relative to their output and to expect any creativity or humility is folly, and in 7 years they haven’t yet adjusted their scheme, see Stanford, Penn State, Ohio State, and Bama... same DL same run defense issues.

I was trying to be stubborn and run the best all season (for snow) money can buy this winter. Just threw in the towel and am putting some on Bridgestone Blizzaks tomorrow. Shaw is black ice.animate said:Is it that hard to change to a "conventional" defense for Stanford?
