Watch the video: Half the kicking team is well, well offsides (that is, they have run past the ball before it is kicked). They're so far offsides because they know this kick will be awful, and the only way to stop a huge runback is to (illegally) get to the ball just as the receiving team does.

Note that despite 6 of 11 players being obviously offside for the kick, the refs don't blow the whistle. That's because they, too, know that this kick will be awful, and that this Participation Trophy Award Winner will need a lot of help from the Affirmative Action Referees to keep this from being an even bigger embarassment.

But she proved something, I guess.

She proved that women make really, really poor men. (And vice-versa, obviously.)

I know I'm being insensitive, but what does this prove? I do think that kick was intentional, I think she was told to squib it, and the players tried to get a jump at it. Since the return team fell on it no harm no foul. Calling a penalty would have "ruined" the moment. But again, they probably squibbed it for her safety, since there would be limited opportunity for a run back. Does this prove women can play college football? Hell no. If anything, this stunt probably set women back further when it comes to competitive sports with men. And ESPN going all gaga for this garbage just shows they are complicit in it. As a father watching this live, there's no way I can look my daughter in the eye and say "See what happened there, you can do anything". Any dipshit with eyes (sorry Grandpa Sankey) can see this was a stunt and the poor woman was used as a prop, for nothing. All this does is diminish the achievement when a woman really does compete and actually sees the field on a meaningful play. But at least she'll win an ESPY, am I right?
