Daily Dose of Schadenfreude: Flying Fowl Edition

A little something to get you through your morning with some thots from our friendly rival’s message boreds after last nights loss to the Beavs in the Platypus Bowl.

- To expect this young team to be a kick-butt SEC type team wasn’t very probable, esp. with our cop-outs. Our offense should be top 5 next year and our 2 injured 5 star defenders will be available, along with our best recruiting class ever. Next year will be great, year after better. To all the doom and gloomers- would you rather be fans of any other West Coast team?
- Someone replied with: Dude, we lost to the Beavs.

- Team is garbage . Primadonna U . Bring back the 2-3* players nobody wanted . They were awesome.

- This exactly! I’m yet to see any fight or a flutter of the pecker from this team. There is clearly a plague or two or three on the team. Get them out.

- Young team. You can’t rush experience.

- Because as much as we all know the Marcus Ducks would have beat Bama, we know these Ducks are young and not ready for the big time quite yet.

- Maybe it’s covid. Maybe it’s the 6 games. Maybe I’ve seen this coming for 2 weeks now. Seriously 2-3 years ago I would of been furious but tonight I’m actually happy for the beavers and could care less.

- Dude, they lost to the frigging Beavs. No moral victories here. Christ. No asterisk in the record book either. Stop making excuses. Cristobal was 100% outcoached and team was not ready.

- We may have a talent advantage over most teams in conference but you have to be able to develop them and without the 4th quarter program, spring ball and fall camp that wasn't going to happen this year. You can't just replace experienced starters with guys who had 4 weeks and not much else. I'm not worried about the future. This staff turned around a 4-8 team and it will turn around this one.

- Dude, Udumb is beating us by 3-4 TDs. It won’t be close based off of what ive witnessed.

- Our defense sucks. And our QB is a turnover waiting to happen. Other than, it's ice cream and rainbows.

- Stars don’t really matter. At least according to that game. Someone post the 4-5 stars on each roster please.

- Once again the d line gets zero pressure and the defense is not very good. Shough might very well lose his job to a true freshman Ty Thompson.

- A lot of those guys on the D-line weren’t “finds”, they were recruiting misses and backup plans. They got their lunch eaten. All night. Bad. You can include the LB core in there.

- Disappointed (a bit), but not surprised. Kind of gives some perspective on how much the D misses the opt outs, and spring practice, and the scrimmage in the fall. I'd say the only thing that is frustrating for me is that there hasn't really been any improvement on defense over the first 4 games. It's been a crazy year, might as well have a crazy football season, too!

- Glad it over went we can go back to normal I was tired of hearing about playoff off I said we wasn’t a playoff team and it finally show do we suck no but we are no where near a playoff team we got bully by play we we use last year our star running back didn’t even get 100 year but their back broke a record on us hell look at Oklahoma 0-4 playoff better luck next year “maybe” like or dislike idc but truth hurt coming from a Dallas cowboys fan

- Stars do indeed matter.. Picture how badly we would have lost if MC and AA had nothing but low 3 star players out there on both sides of the ball.. The Beavers would have probably won by 3+ touchdowns. Also, we'd probably be 0-4 on the year, too.

- OSU has two (2!) 4-5 star players on their entire roster according to another poster tonight. I’m starting to wonder if superior coaching is more important than superior recruiting.
