Romar is literally the only coach at any level of NCAA basketball that doesn't cheat. UW should be proud of that and pay him whatever he wants.

  • Say what you want about Romar but he made the mistake of going up against the big boys and he struck out and it set us back. That's on him but some would bitch if he never tried, he did and it may cost him his job if he doesn't turn things around VERY soon. Plus he doesn't cheat and we all know college hoops is dirty as hell.

With the garbage we have seen from the football team the past 13, we had nice run for UW hoops. Lo is a good guy and I think we owe him a year or two max with his new approach. Recruiting is going well but I have to believe his seat is getting pretty warm. Good news is the basketball facilities is the next priority. IMO his biggest mistake was thinking he could recruit nationally and not firing Shaw and Paul F. years ago.

My hope is Romar steps away in a year or two for the good of the program as well as enjoying retirement because he is wealthy. I know one thing he left the program better than he found it and Babs got lucky. I believe he has another run left but he has peaked plus I can't see him winning more than 2 games if we get back into the NCAA in next year or two.

No shit. Romar hasn't brought in the type of pressers that Oregon has since Overton.
