I would guess it’s gonna be a battle between him and Fab to replace Taylor.PostGameOrangeSlices said:
He should start next yearchuck said:
I often forget he's even in the team. I wish that were not the case. I know he has talent and holy shit I want corners that size out there.DoogCourics said:Just a note:
Hi Lee Shit
Dom Hampton has everything you want physically in a CB. I remember when he killed Britain Covey on kickoff coverage.
My prediction is Dom opposite of McDuffie and then Kyler at Nickel. -
Unfortunately for him he’s got Taylor and McDuffie out there. He’ll get his shot though, and I believe he’ll be good.chuck said:

I don’t really want to play Utah

I’ll be a contrarian and say Hampton never starts. Gordon probably takes one role. He’s the first DB off the bench. We will see if it’s outside or nickel.
The other opening has a bunch of candidates. We also have four freshman we haven’t seen (5 counting Kinchen), Kam Fab, Irving, Cam Williams, etc. I know some of those guys are safeties, but Gordon could play outside and a safety, maybe even Turner, might move to nickel. Too much completion and rearranging that will happen for me to have any sort of confidence Hampton starts. -
On classics now, so I'll bump here too

I'm hoping that Jacobe Covington will be good. Cam Williams seems to have disappeared.RoadDawg55 said:I’ll be a contrarian and say Hampton never starts. Gordon probably takes one role. He’s the first DB off the bench. We will see if it’s outside or nickel.

Yeah, it really is to early to tell. Dom has obviously put in the work in the wight room but playing DB is all about instincts. He's the heir apparent at CB but if one of the younger guys beats him out, it wouldn't necessarily surprise me. Hampton was very lightly recruited for a guy from a powerhouse HS program.RoadDawg55 said:I’ll be a contrarian and say Hampton never starts. Gordon probably takes one role.
