FTR this is more about the timing of announcing this right AFTER the election. Remember when the media three weeks ago lambasted Trump for trying to claim a vaccine was so close as a desperation claim to save the election? I can't imagine why they waited until AFTER the election to substantiate that claim.
Trump managed to fast track a vaccine to save the world in under a year and will get no credit.

Pfizer was not part of "Operation Warp Speed" and received no funding from the feds. So no, Trump shouldn't and won't get credit for it.
