I learned something really fucked up today. Apparently that kid spoiled rich fuck that shot up Isla Vista and stabbed his roomies is some sort of failed pick-up artist. He was pissed off because he couldn't get laid.

image

Granted, I think I would have had to have tried to not get laid in college. And I'm not especially good-looking. But apparently kids these days think that they hit some kind of formula to meet women and have sex. And if they fail, they feel justified in their resentment and hatred of women who won't fuck them. That's fucked up.

Is this kind of dysfunctional crap common?

Are there really a bunch of weird little fuckers who want to shoot up sorority houses?

Its not the dude that freaks me out - its the bizarre little subculture he played in, and in which he's apparently some kind of hero.

Ok - I read the thing. I lol'd at this one:

    12. How many friends have you met through the internet that you have never seen in person?

    0 to 2: 0 points
    over 2: -1 point

You're a bunch of fucking LOOOOOSERS!

The dude was a psycho. It's a mental health issue, not a gender issue or a gun issue.

But NOC about mental health in America...

This. Of course the media will always spin these stories to make them way more complicated then they are really.

It is quite simple. Dude was a lunatic. A ticking time bomb that the cops were even told about and said "whatever" because hadn't blown up yet.

Ask them to help find turd who busted into your car and they will tell you to file a report online and call your insurance company.
Sounds like you need to upgrade your neighborhood.

It happened in the U district, in Montlake, on the shores of Lake Washington when when I was at a hotel... So yeah, I guess I do need an upgrade.

Are you saying a funeral for a dog is not important?

And I thought it was a laptop you had stolen that you were so pissed about?

Every time this happens someone starts the "Where were the parents?" cliche. SOMEONE should have KNOWN!!! blah fucking blah. Well the parents did know and they did something about it, but the fuckers who are supposed to help didn't DO THEIR JOB! God damn cops have all kinds of time to do things that are a) easy and b) generate revenue. Ask them to help out in a difficult situation where there is work involved and little $$ payoff and they are just too damn busy most of the time.

I have seen this many times and experienced it in my own life. Ask them to go on a training weekend where they get to put on body armor, shit automatic weapons, and and drive a tank and they are all in. Ask them to help find turd who busted into your car and they will tell you to file a report online and call your insurance company. Then drive your car with the busted window a tad too fast down I-5 and they will have more than enough time to fine you.... Assholes.. F the POLICE

The cops did show up at his place, but I don't see how they could search his place with no warrant. I think if you are a 5150 in California, they can apprehend you, but there is a procedure I would suspect. But, he's still got rights if he has not broken any law. I'm not sure if there is ever a defense against a determined psycho. It's a serious problem with the human race, as weapons could fall into the hands of one, I mean nukes and such. He was completely bonkers, too.

They could probably have gotten a warrant based on the videos that were out there and the parents knew about. But that would have required work.

That does bring up the question: at what point does an insane person lose rights, what rights do they lose, and who decides?

    Involuntary civil commitment

Involuntary civil commitment is the admission of individuals against their will into a mental health unit. Generally speaking, there are three reasons why an individual would be subject to involuntary civil commitment under modern statutes: mental illness, developmental disability, and substance addiction. In the case of mental illness, dangerousness to self or others defines the typical commitment standard, with almost all states construing the inability to provide for one's basic needs as dangerousness to self. In terms of process, every state provides for a hearing, the right to counsel, and periodic judicial review, while most states have statutory quality standards for treatment and hospitalization environment.

I actually have some life experience with committal hearings. Supported a good friend who has an issue with a relative. They are a fucking joke.

... which is why they have a 1-800# you can call if you can't afford their drugs. They will only charge you the cash you have left, subsidizing it by overcharging those with the best prescription drug insurance.
