A blanket, one size fits all, lockdown response to covid sounds great in retrospect to stop the spread before it got big. The big problem with that is supply chains would have screeched to a halt for most goods, including food.Kingdome_Urinals said:

If he actually had a coordinated response to covid he would have dramatically increased his electability because, contrary to anti-masker conspiracy theory, the vast majority of the voting public is concerned about the pandemic.
His miniscule attention span and basically retarded management style kept him accomplishing much through the federal gov.

They were. But if it wasn’t for the South staying open. These things would have never made it to most people that were more locked down.
And that would be the affect of a National lockdown.
The States said fuck You in April and said we’re gonna handle this on our own. And some had a great balance between not killing Gramma and still leaving the studs of the Economy still standing. Others not so much.
Europa locked down for months a few weeks before we did. And the cases and deaths went down. But it’s baaaack in a big way there too.
Sans a few Asian countries, the countries that locked down the hardest, see the most deaths per capita.
It’s amazing to think that after 4 years of the media, the opposition and half of his own party, behind the scenes, trying to impeach him, Trump is dealt the card of the worst Pandemic in 100 years and the Election is still not certified 5 days after.

The Throbber doesn't really care much for states' rights. Those are organizational structures of governance. Relative to a one size fits all approach, it's tolerable. If the laws of the state are really that bothersome, I'll LEAVE and go to a different state.
