Not from a cognitive dissonance point - but they come from a very liberal perspective, seen the edge and have come back to reality. Bret Weinstein had his professional life ruined - now, why anyone would want to teach at Evergreen is a different discussion altogether - but still, apparently he and his significant other we highly regarded...until they weren't.

I do not like to watch local TV news - give up after 5 minutes mainly because they just have 3 news items and keep repeating the same thing over and over.
