Why Black Lives Matter is Helping the Trump Campaign

I’m in a book club reading a book about the war on drugs with a bunch of Portland based Nike marketing managers.
1. I’m clearly not popular, but it’s cool as I want to learn something and hopefully they do too.
2. We are supposed to have a session the day after the election

I found this interesting. Even in deep Blue Cali affirmative action is struggling at the polls

I'm starting to get the feeling leftists and the media are about to throw a tantrum the likes of which has never been seen

Same group read “just mercy” a few months back. Really good book, Bryan Stevenson is awesome.
It’s a cool group with a couple former prisoners (drug related charges), a DA, and a few lawyers. Those people are cool. the SJW marketing managers are a bit rough. “We haven’t had prison reform because we haven’t had the right Netflix documentary on it, we need something Spielberg level” I shit you not that was said.
When I said, “in 1994 we passed all these crime bills as a society, it was bi-partisan, and it was only 25 years ago. We all agree it’s not working but we also need to agree we all thought this was smart back then so let’s search it and understand the flaws instead of dismissing it like we had nothing to do with it” lots of crickets. -
Given the current politics of California this surprises me. I guess the Asians, and whites and the Hispanics, many of whom see themselves as white aren't cool with the government discriminating against them based upon their skin color.RaceBannon said:I found this interesting. Btw, if you really want to see how biased California is in favor of leftists read the language they used in the voter guide to describe Prop 16.
Permits government decision-making policies to consider race, sex, color, ethnicity, or national origin in order to address diversity by repealing constitutional provision prohibiting such policies.
They just want to address "diversity." If they were forced to describe it accurately, they would say "allow the government to discriminate against certain people and reward other people based entirely on the color of their skin." -
It is also headed to the Supreme Court if it passes. Similar laws were struck down in the 80's
Today you have a lot of big corps virtue signaling by bringing back quotas. That's their business. The government can't do it legally IMO
