Neither of them will play unless they think the team can win big. Neither wants to lead them to wins, or answer for losses. It's a pretty decent match in that regard. Kyrie will play his personally selected 15-40 games a season, then Durant can have the rest to score 37 while losing to Sacramento by 9.
