....is pretty into watches. He's been asking me for advice on his first watch for months and months. Super smart young guy. Left of center, but not a shithead millennial socialist turd. Hard worker, bright and likeable. He calls me this morning and goes over the two watches he is most interested in and gets pointers from me for how to deal with pricing and possible wait times. I can hear the excitement in his voice. Your first 4K watch is one of those big "life moments." He lives in Chicago, and is going to head over to the Rolex/Tudor AD on his lunch break today. SUPER excited. Been saving, researching and waiting months for this.

Me: Hey, how was the AD? Any luck?
Him: I got there and the doors were locked.
Me: At one in the afternoon on a Tuesday? Covid?
Him: Nope. Sign on the door said "Closed due to riots."
Me: Dude, that sucks. I'm really sorry to hear that. What are you going to do?
Him: Not vote for that fuck Biden.

    I break watches. I don't spend large sums. I have a couple older Omega's from my farther and grandfather. Pretty nice and they have meaning.

    I like guns better too.
