    Are these politicians THAT arrogant?

    There's some stupid shit to take a stand on but alienating alums of two massive-sized state schools and taking away football seems like a damned dumb sword upon which to die.

    It's not like you're talking Martin High School Stadium crowds in Pullman. There's pushing a couple hundred thousand fans every weekend in Ann Arbor and E. Lansing.

    Michigan teams play them all away at the stadium of the visiting team or a neutral site just outside Michigan. The hosting school recovers costs and a small profit for their stadium and the rest goes back to the Michigan schools.
