Hopefully they drag some of David Stern's dirty laundry into this.
-
I believe that Sterling's defense is that the NBA is twisting things.
-
I am pulling for the Clippers ...
Would be great to see Sterling's old lady accept the David Stern Memorial Championshit trophy. -
Dear Adam,
FUCK YOU
Sincerely,
Donny -
You shouldn't throw stones if you live in a glass house.
And if you got a glass jaw you should watch yo mouth.
Cause I'll break yo face.

Fuck Sterling, but good for him. No matter what he said, it's still his team and he has the right to go to court over it.
-
Fuck Donald Sterling and Fuck the NBA.
Abundance.

His fellow owners have every right as well to sue his ass for the damages incurred as an owner of a franchise given the harm that he's causing on their franchises as part of a parent company called the National Basketball Association.
-
I hope he wins. Lesser of two evils. Fuck the NBA.

Just what the owners will want to do.
They would be wise to let him keep his 2.5 million, keep the ban in place and move on with life.
It was a stupid thing to pick a fight over when he has the history he does. -
This shitshow is going to be fun to watch. The NFL and MLB is going to sit back laughing their fucking asses off during this whole process even though I'm sure they have racist owners as well.PostGameOrangeSlices said:

The moral of the story in all this? Pick side chicks who aren't totally batshit fucking crazy. Oh and side chicks who don't look like tranny's that helps as well. -

Hahaha, so on point. The MLB is the real benefactor in all of this, as the NFL is lightyears ahead of both of them.
I don't know what Sterling was thinking regarding the gold digger, christo almighty. Of all the women willing to fuck for money in the world, he anchors himself to that one?

Seriously if you are rich you are much much better off going through an escort service than having a side chick.PostGameOrangeSlices said:He_Needs_More_Time said:

Only problem with that is that you have a league of players willing to walk out if you don't remove him as an owner.topdawgnc said:

The league had no choice in this ... it was really the only solution that they had in getting him removed from the league as an owner.
Sterling's lawsuit at this point is for spite. The bylaws are the bylaws and they'll hold up in court. -
The MLB is a shitshow, too. Other than that, everything in this post is spot on.He_Needs_More_Time said:

Forget the name change. Tell when he changed into a woman.

They aren't walking out. That's a bunch of tough talk. These owners aren't dumb. They can cry that they shouldn't be punished for something one owner said (which is true). It's also not their fault if this gets tied up in the courts. They are going to need to either pay Sterling a ton of money to leave or realize it's going to take time to get him out. When Roger Mason said he had LeBron on board, LeBron said he wasn't boycotting, but he did want Sterling out ASAP.Tequilla said:

The players won't be walking out over this. That was a one night deal before the POW aka as Adam Silver ackwardly delivered his tough talk ban and fine speech. Walking out over this would be an equivalent to a strike and neither the NBAPA nor players will give up paychecks over this now. -
nailed it. NBA would file a ULP grievance, though would be at the mercy of the left-leaning NLRBsalemcoog said:Tequilla said:

I don't buy that the players as a whole would walk out over this. It's hard to live the lifestyles that a lot of the guys in the league do when they aren't "getting 'dem checks."
However, it is an option that they have to use and threaten with. And it's an option that punishes the owners right along with it.
As long as the league is profitable, and given franchise values it clearly is right now, the owners will stand to lose in both the short- and long-term if the players walk out.
