Most people do not understand that handguns, even the best of them, are not good fight stoppers. People are often unimpressed with being shot. This is why the military doesn't fight with handguns. They are weapons of convenience. We carry them because they are easy to carry around as one works and can be quickly deployed. In reading a forensic medicine book I came across a police shooting autopsy. The suspect was shot 41 times with a 9mm and still fighting. A wise officer then plugged him with 2 12ga slugs one of which severed the spine ending the battle. Some folks are mean ass sons of bitches!
Shoot them 'til they stop!
Although a head shot is the proper response after two rounds without effect but it's a small hardened target. Bullets regularly deflect off the human skull unless they enter orbital/nasal cavity area. -
