Had heard of them, never listened (until now), there’s a lot of stuff going on, Zep vibe with a little southern twinge for me, maybe Black Crows...I like

Too much of Zeppelin cover band.

I think they take too much shit.
on one side we have a sort of retro-fetishism that infects too many things. It's snobbery, just like the idiots that try to teach me about some retro beer I was drinking when they were born. Old isn't universally great, Race Bannon excluded. Sometimes the best thing about the good old days is that they're good and gone.
On another side we have a great many people who lament about what has happened to rock and roll. How many wish for the good old days, when dozens of supremely talented bands like Zep put out incredible albums?
Third we add in some bullshit gatekeeping: How dare anyone sound like the great and powerful Led Zeppelin?!?
These guys get blamed for sounding too similar...to those people I say make up your fucking minds.
Do we want more music like we had, or not? For me, the answer is yes.
They sound great, and they write new songs, i.e. they're not exactly performing covers.
Yes, there is plenty of similarity. Hell, listen to these two:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qK_ZtN9K2EM

but people have been sampling, been influenced by idols, and have been outright stealing for decades - and my personal fave: how many times has LZ been accused of it themselves??
Is imitation no longer flattery?
cheers--

It's true but this makes them better than 99.81% of bands out there right now.RoadDawg55 said:Too much of Zeppelin cover band.

In their defense the singer was a teenager when they first broke out. The kid obviously has big talent.dnc said:

I'm 100% for them because they are rock music, and that's hard to find right now.
