If masks work, then why...

Don’t forget the chart on tests. It shows that testing has taken off. If we were testing at the same levels in March and April how many positive cases would we have then? We wouldn’t be at record levels of positive cases now. Fuck Inslee.DoogieMcDoogerson said:The complete set of charts for king county. Science and Data, folks. Recognize, short of Yakima, King County is the heart of the pandemic in WA State.
Positive Cases: OMG - GRIM!!!!
Hospitalizations: Steady and low despite a long, long trend of uptick in positive cases. Cordwood will never be stacked with #s like these.
Cordwood counter: Low and Steady for a long time....again despite the long period of uptick in positive cases. Cordwood not to be found.

Actually they did work. A very clear rise in the positivity rate flatlined about a week after the mask mandate was actually made enforceable.DoogieMcDoogerson said:Inslee issued his face covering order on May 29th.
Look at the chart after that.
Science and Data, man...
Rt has also been sitting under 1.
Would like to see some further improvement, but for now WA adding more cases is merely a result of testing more.

If you wore them in March, you were attempting to murder doctors and nurses by starving them of essential PPE.MikeDamone said:PEOPLE WONT WEAR THEM!!!!
Now you're supposed to wear them constantly. Like some kind of killing machine. -

That is not what I'm seeing. It was made enforceable statewide July 7th. What about the large dip prior to the statewide mandate? While their is variances that could support your opinion it is nothing above correlation as a causation. This is not adhering to a strict standard that suffices for meeting a scientific method.
Correction: Statewide mask mandate was made June 26th. It was made mandatory for businesses to enforce the mask mandate on July 7th. Still doesn't line up with the data in any meaningful way.
