Phil Collins?
-
Brothers In Arms - Dire StraitsWith the exception of Little Creatures and Brothers In Arms, 1985 is pretty meh for me. But those two records were huge for me in college. Huge I tell ya.

F.O. Row Peter Puffer, you left off_____________

Brothers In Arms - Dire Straits
He was the drummer in a progressive rock band who went on to great success as a solo artist. A lot of people liked him. I don't, but am trying to be objective.RaceBannon said:Phil Collins?

I've got two tickets to Iron Maiden babyGrundleStiltzkin said:
I might pick Dire Straits or Talking Heads or even Tears For Fears here; very solid stuff but several '84/'86 backup choices I'd pick first. -

They censor the "brings a gun to school" line on the radio now. In a few years, IROC will beNoWarningJustDawg said:

Whenever I get around to seeding an best album tournament based on these polls, the weak years likely only see one entry whereas the montser years could see 2 or even 3 bids.NoWarningJustDawg said:

Brothers In Arms - Dire StraitsAlso, we need more Maiden.
-
Little Creatures - The Talking HeadsTalking Heads best work was behind them by 85, but the other choices suck.
-
F.O. Row Peter Puffer, you left off_____________These suck.
Give me Theater of Pain, and I don't even like Crue. -
Brothers In Arms - Dire Straits
I don't think its their best work, but I still really enjoy Little Creatures. Their last good album in my opinion. To @dnc 's point, not a strong year though overall. Probably have to take the winner of the year by the auto bid rules and that's it. But that would be a low seed.RoadDawg55 said:Talking Heads best work was behind them by 85, but the other choices suck.

Since I couldn't really pick and I'm a little ashamed I forgot about this, I'll go ahead and give my vote to a Seattle product.
Fuck there's some classic 80's hair right there.
Cheers-- -
Nancy was hot.as.balls in the 80's. Ann was pretty hot too when she wasn't fat.NoWarningJustDawg said:Since I couldn't really pick and I'm a little ashamed I forgot about this, I'll go ahead and give my vote to a Seattle product.

And Bellevue isn't Seattle, btw.

Rock chicks get extra hotness points for being rock chicks
Joan Jett for example. Or Pat Benatar. Nothing special until the leather pants come on -

Brothers In Arms - Dire StraitsBrothers in Arms is a pretty good album, and Dire Straits doesn't get near the respect they deserve considering their body of work. Their Dire Straits album is criminally underrated. It's outside of my hard rock wheel house, but the guitar work on that album is really fantastic.
