Ted a decade or so ago was a somewhat reasonable person. But as the party started to move left, Ted had a choice. Either quit the party or sell his soul to the commie devil. Ted choose door number 2. He is basically whining when he talks about the situation on the ground and how we just need to continue and listen to understand what the "protesters" are trying to say. The protests are over. Now its just a front for after midnight violence. This isn't a permitted protest. This is just targeted violence. Ted already has let most of the arrested go without charges. That sure taught them a lesson.

However the Head of DHS JUST came to town and Offered to help and both Wheeler and Brown refused his help and insulted him. I think Wheeler believes this will help him in seeking higher office Westlinn. I don’t think it will help if he is going to seek Wyden’s seat when he retires.

Wyden is only 71 and healthy. He isn't going anywhere soon. Merkley is basically running unopposed this year. Can't be primaried until 2026. Governorship is open in 2022.
