This is after a prolonged struggle.

Discuss.

The outrage over this blows my mind.

The excessive use of force shooting him dead as he's running away....ok, I can buy that.

The outrage is crazy though - the guy taking the video says "You shot him for no reason".

Uhh....he just wrestled around and swung on cops....that's dumb. It's not "no reason".

Is that an officers gun in his hand with its weapon light on? Hard to tell on my phone. But that's my guess. Could be an officers taser too. Either one works for getting shot.

Don't wanna misquote but something like 30% of officers killed by gunfire are shot by their own gun being wrestled away in a struggle. It's a very real situation. My old man was a county sheriff for 30 years, and two of his co-workers died by their own gun being turned on them during his career.

Story is it's a tazer. In the video, it looks like he shot it at the officer. Look for the flash.

    Video 1 - the struggle.

He was asleep in the drive through at Wendy's. Failed sobriety test.

    Wendy's now:

You get shot for trying to take an officers gun. Or stabbed.

Yes, ideally. There has also been nice safety features added to holsters to make it alot harder to remove the weapon from any angle other than the officer's.

Some do it so well it takes the officer an hour to get it out as well.
