That might be true for state and county police. However, ticket funds from the city police typically goes into the general fund. So the city police department gets a very small fraction of actual tickets. This is a big reason why a city cop is more willing to give you a warning for minor violations, as they mostly use the stops to see if there is any more serious issues that are apparent. I’m more worried about corruption if this happens. If they have to cut staff and pay, I could see more police taking bribes and doing other things.

Would you just let me have my joke? I have very little left of value in my life. Practically everyone I know died of the vid. I stacked them in the backyard behind the trailer. Just piles of dead bodies. Then after I was done with all of that stacking my one neighbor who survived told me I had to go wash black people's feet or I was cancelled. I fucking hate feet. I should also state, for the record, I do not want to defund the police. I want to demilitarize the police and mostly end the insane war of drugs. That is my solution.

I’m all for defunding the police for a one month trial period. Any crime committed during that time is a gimme. There’s a lot of armed, normally law abiding, citizens who can clean up the streets in a hurry. After one month, Antifa (what’s left of them) can have their protection back.
