Evidently he didn’t get any $$$ from the agent he signed with, which may have weighed heavy on the ncaa’s decision. Wonder how many underclassmen meet the same criteria?
The other issue is that asu has signed another punter in last years class. So this could cause problems for coaches on the cruit’n trail. What if the school doesn’t want them back? -

We always think the next guy is better, but in this case, I’m ready for Newton and Davis. We will be a tougher team with Newton getting more carries. PS: It's not as easy to convert a running back to WR as one might think. It was hard enough with Paul Arnold, who was a better, taller, longer and faster athlete. Ahmed is built like running back; I don't see him making big down field catches unless he's wide open. His body was built to run the ball; his mind was built to give up.
His NFL career, if there be one, will be short lived and unspectacular. -
