Pretty sure Chris Paul and Blake Griffin don't play for the Lakers.PurpleJ said:
I'm hearing there's this other team in town called the Lakers or something. Just moved from Minnesota.doogsinparadise said:Guess what, people are talking with their money. Clips are losing sponsors, and players are saying that they'll never sign new free agent deals with Sterling. It may not happen this year, but is the NBA going to sit around and let one of their top media market teams go into the ditch because of Sterling's bullshit? There's no way something doesn't happen. And yeah, clearly his dick isn't racist fwiw.

Nailed it. This is Duck Dynasty all over. Mad for a week or two and then forgotten. Sponsors are dropping, but new sponsors will replace them once this dies down.MikeDamone said:
That's what needs to happen. Just let the market take care of it. Just like seaworld. Qurandawg and I won't set foot in that fucking place ever again! And I'm getting rid of all my clippers gear.doogsinparadise said:Guess what, people are talking with their money. The truth is, this is the outrage of the day and next week, no one will give a fuck. -
Players say they are playing for themselves and don't play for an owner. Then in same statement say they won't play for Sterling seems a bit hypocritical.
Sterling has always been a known racist. Doc Rivers and Chris Paul knew he was a racist when they CHOSE to sign up to play for his team.
He was sitting courtside yelling N-Word expletives at Baron Davis back in 2009 it was even reported back then. Rivers knew about it but chose to go there, Paul knew about it but chose to re-sign there, Griffin knew about it and chose to re-sign there.
Boo-hoo fucking cry me a river already. Players will still sign big deals to go play there.
-
Why the fuck won't the media ask Rivers or Paul why they signed with the Clippers when Sterling has had multiple complaints and even paid out over 2 million in a lawsuit because of racist behavior?
-
Because then the media is complicit for not making this a major story sooner.RoadDawg55 said:Why the fuck won't the media ask Rivers or Paul why they signed with the Clippers when Sterling has had multiple complaints and even paid out over 2 million in a lawsuit because of racist behavior?
If there's one thing the media is great at protecting, it's the media.

I don't think he called Davis that. He heckled him and called him names. But I've never heard he called him that.He_Needs_More_Time said:Players say they are playing for themselves and don't play for an owner. Then in same statement say they won't play for Sterling seems a bit hypocritical.

I'm hearing Sterling called Benoit a lazy n-word back in the day.MikeDamone said:

Truth. I read some articles about it. he was mostly heckling him about his weight and being a bum, and truth be told he was right. He just went about it wrong because he has bad social skills.MikeDamone said:

They'll slap him with a million dollar fine (which is total chump change to him) and suspend him for a year, maybe two. TMZ will go back to hacking the Royal Family, Biebs, and Miley. Jesse will shake down someone else. WGAF? -
