Last week CEO Dr. Paul Ramsey announced a $500 million budget shortfall tied to the pandemic.

Another covid hot take from LoneStarDawg
My uncle was at UW medical center preparing for cancer surgery in mid Dec and got a random double pneumonia and tanked fast and died in 3-5 days. He was deep in chemo and in mid 60s which is a bad combo for covid, so I still don’t think covid is going to kill us all, however interesting datapoint that maybe this was bouncing around back in dec. -

There’s a report a few days ago that two people in Snohomish County tested antibody positive, possibly linked to December illness. -
Fuck, a bad taco could tip someone with those issues over the edge.LoneStarDawg said:Another covid hot take from LoneStarDawg

Think back to AIDS. People died of AIDS. But they never died AIDS. It was some cancer or infection. But the deaths were always counted as AIDS. Now it’s the opposite. If someone has late stage cancer and gets covid. They die of covid. Which is bull shit. -
Yeah he was in a bad place with esophagus cancer and we just thought the immediate family was keeping it from us all, but now in hindsight Covid sounds too coincidental when there are reports it was possibly at UW early.
Meh, shit happens, life goes on, enjoy every day, tomorrow isn’t promised.
