The City of Atwater has declared itself a "sanctuary city" for all businesses, allowing owners to open despite the state of California's stay-at-home order amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The Atwater City Council voted on the resolution on Friday afternoon, saying it, "Affirms the city's commitment to fundamental constitutional rights."

    Without saying it explicitly, that's what Fortney threw for Snohomish County. The state wants to enforce, send in the WSP or whatever to do so. Your rule, your resources.

    Apparently, there's now a recall effort for Fortney too.

    Being run by the guy he defeated for Sheriff - who just happened to get selected by the county DA to some suck up job that is not an electable position - that happens to make more money than the Sheriff.
