This is pretty devastating to hear. He was an absolute OG of our entire movement. As a kid, posts from him, Race, Yale, and others on DM (before I got my dad's account banned, sorry pops) helped convince me that our fandom wasn't wholly washed out, and that championship standards were perfectly okay. Also obviously a very smart dude, and often hilarious. His IRL calling out of Ty is the absolute GOAT halfbrain moment. Legendary.

I feel I should post something but Derek accurately quoted my feelings. Larry had more balls than all of us. The only one of us that brents would have respected for SAYING IT TO HIS FACE
Never met Larry but he was one of the best and has been missed and now will be. -

Larry’s the only HHB I randomly met IRL tailgating pre-ND 2008. I was telling my Boeing buddy about AngryAlum at Anthony’s and he said “Oh that’s Larry you meet him?”

Larry sounds like an exceptionally cool and interesting man. I wish I had met him. -
I watched a bowl game with Larry and another HHB’er at a bar on Lake City. He was a personable guy, genuine, easy to converse with.
The other one we were with took me to his car after the game and gave me beef jerky from his trunk.
