I have to wonder, if/when this is all done there is going to be a massive reshuffling of the deck chairs in the labor market. i would think most companies would contemplate re-hiring their previous employees. But given the plethora of both supply and demand, it's going to be a free-for-all both directions. Employees will know there are obviously lots of 'open' jobs out there - and employers could leverage this to get rid of problem children and grab better talent.
Sadly, none of this will hit the public employee unions who are the root of virtually all evil in the stereotyping of lazy govt. employees.
