Lessons learned 1918

National Library of Medicine has some good stuff on the 1918 flu. The articles are all pre China flu so there is no bullshit. Turns out the "lockdown" wasn't nearly as restrictive as it is now. But people had different opinions and doctors disagreed. There is a lot of similarities with today and I'm surprised that I'm surprised how little we have changed.

We? won't learn anything this time either. Nor will we prepare. Nor will states buy respirators and masks.
Now that the fascists can just shut it down we good -
This is the 5th pandemic in the last 100 years here. All the others quarantined the sick and had targeted shut downs of hot spots (such as specific schools) some social distancing regulations. This is the only one we're the healthy are not allowed to work, recreate, have normal weddings, go out to dinner etc.RaceBannon said:We? won't learn anything this time either. Nor will we prepare.
