Remdesivir is very promising. Several weeks ago they sent a shitload of doses to China both to help with the worst outbreak at the time and also to get data on how effective it is and under what circumstances. Latest study looked at the effective difference between 5- and 10-day regimens. Keep in mind it's an intravenous drug, given over a course of several days, so it requires patients to be hospitalized. For serious cases, but if it keeps people from dying and cuts the time they're in ICUs, it could have a huge beneficial effect on mortality rates, hospital overloading, general fear/panic, and public policy going forward.
As of ten days ago Gilead had enough for 140k regimens. Given the length of time it takes to create the drug, they may not have very much going forward until later in the year. They have been ramping up production even before getting the results of the studies, but it'll be October before they see the results of the ramp up - 500k regimens by October, 1M total by the end of the year.

I’m sure the market jumping had nothing to do with Boeing opening up. Yep. It was all about the new injected fish tank cleaner.
See how ridiculous that sounds. Because that’s the negativity that is encountered any previous time someone had done trials that have shown success with the various existing drugs.
I hope it works well just as I hope the others do.

Don’t trust China...they are about as trustworthy as a crooked reporter inventing news on a drug stock to bump its price up right before a bunch of options expire and a ton of abnormal trading occurring on said options.
