We should be more thoughtful about how we roll this out. As much as it pains me to say thins, sure, gathering 80,000 people in a stadium is probably not a great idea if by then we haven't figured this thing out biologically. It's not a priority. But the building trades? Why not? Even office workers. Load up on hand sanitizer, come up with protocol for riding the elevators and shit (make people use the fucking stairs - maybe we won't be so fat when this is done).
Even the fucking department stores. Send a national memo to all women of Asian ancestry over the age of 40, who don't tend to respect personal space when they're shopping (come on. it's true. they drive for shit as well and everybody knows it). With that, open them up.
Docs and dentists wear masks and glovers. Cleaning services will open up to support bidnesses cleaning surfaces, etc. between clients/customer visists.
Mechanics working on cars, changing oil at the Jiffy, all that shit does not require touching anyone or getting close enough to give or get a blowjob. Open it up! Car lots too. Who the fuck wants to shake hands with a car salesman anyway. Open it.
People need to get back to work. That's how you open the economy. Not with helicopter money. That's a waste of time and resources. A free market is like muscle. Use it or lose it. It's a beautiful system when it's allowed to run. But like an old car, you can't park it in the garage and just look it for very long before you have big problems.
From my standpoint, concerts, large sporting events, cruises etc. are fucked for a while. Few other businesses need be. Even restaurants. You can fucking figure this out. Face masks and gloves, and lots and lots of handwashing and cleaning. Think Singapore. Be clean; be safe. Get the fuck back to work.
