The end of college basketball?

Its not that every kid is going to go G League its whether enough of the good ones do to throw the rest of the dirt on the college basketball coffin.
A basketball minor league that pays for college is doable. But does the NBA lose the built in branding that their stars used to get in college? Do the economics of the NBA continue to decline and then they can't afford the G League? China has already taken a bite, wait until the VID gets its guys in there

Yeah a guy like Zion is still a no name if he skipped the Duke experience.RaceBannon said:

The 80's were golden. MJ for three years, Ewing and Hakeem for 4
They were household names before they got drafted. Both sports benefited -
Go pro or go 3 years. The solution is so simple

The G League? Were A through F taken?

I would compromise and make it 2 years. I struggle telling guys that are 20 they can't play in the NBA when they've crushed the college game.RoadDawg55 said:

Guys like Westbrook who blow up year 2 need an outlet to get paid. -
If most of the one & done kids start taking this route this will be very good for college basketball IMO, and good for the kids.
-
If the NBA worked something out, say let kids that leave after 3-4 years being allowed to skip their rookie contracts and be allowed higher compensation could be a way to keep kids in college.

I still think undrafted guys should be allowed back into school. Amateur status is meaningless bullshit.

Makes sense, but 99% of the time it won’t matter and guys like Harden, Westbrook, etc would go in the same range.Doogles said:
