Because somewhere else generally sucks.
No humidity, real tornadoes or hurricanes. No annual baseball size hail storms. Majestic mountain ranges with thousands of rivers and streams flowing off of them. Awe inspiring coast lines. A grip of nice lakes, big and small. Four Seasons, all sometimes interchangeable depending on what part of the NW you are in and at what time.
It does rain too much on the wet sides. But that’s a me problem.
