    I have to respectfully disagree. The DNC made a deliberate, conscious decision to run away from Bernie and the SDA after Super Tuesday. He will have little to no influence from here.

    In the last 3 weeks his name has barely come up, for anything. His ideals were an all or nothing revolution. And when it gets snuffed, there's nothing left. The DNC didn't pick Joe because He's a good candidate. They did it to run away from the Socialist wing of their party. Now with Bernie gone, they can let Hillary slide into the spotlight.

    Could be. I think most people are rooting for @dnc to not move further left. If they think they have the leverage to ignore Bernie and his radical platform, then all the more power to em. I just don't think that's the calculus they've made and that they're going to make concessions to get the "Bernie or bust" bros inboard.

    If the Dems were facing a normal candidate, I'd agree that they would need to open up the tent and reserve a corner of it for Berner policy. But there isn't a Berner alive who would vote for Trump. The DNC doesnt have to worry about the Berners jumping the fence to the Trump bbq.

    I always thought Biden supporters would be more likely to vote for Bernie if Biden had dropped out than Bernie supporters would be to vote for Biden in the opposite. That said, Biden’s base is more likely to vote overall than Bernie’s, the latter being more prone to sit out or vote for the Green Party.

    I thought that Ace's analysis of Bernie was spot on:

    A friend of mine says that Bernie is just "controlled opposition" -- a Socialist alternative who is controlled by the Democrat Establishment to make sure that Socialists remain in the party.

    That's why Bernie Sanders refuses to ever damage a Democrat front-runner.

    And that's why, my friend says, Alexandria Donkey-Chompers stopped supporting him a month and a half ago -- she got upset at his relentless unwillingness to ever take a shot at the Democrat establishment.

    Sounds like a good theory -- except that part about Alexandria Donkey-Chompers figuring something out.
