Anyone see 4 conference losses here?

Sat, Sep 27 Stanford Seattle, WA
Sat, Oct 11 @California Berkeley, CA
Sat, Oct 18 @Oregon Eugene, OR
Sat, Oct 25 Arizona State Seattle, WA
Sat, Nov 01 @Colorado Boulder, CO
Sat, Nov 08 UCLA Seattle, WA
Sat, Nov 15 @Arizona Tucson, AZ
Sat, Nov 22 Oregon State Seattle, WA
Sat, Nov 29 @Washington State Pullman, WA

I can maybe see 3....5 road games I guess. Unless there is a complete sark meltdown on the road late in the year. 3 losses maximum.

If Sark were coming back I'd predict 4 losses. With Petermen I see Stanford, at Oregon, UCLA, at Arizona and at WSU has tough games. I think he's a good coach and will go 3-2 in those games, 2-3 at the worst.

I really dont see WSU as a tough game. We should be able to plunger them.

Stanford, Oregon, UCLA, and Arizona look like the four tuffest games.

If we lose 4 conference games, then I'm thinking that we had some major injuries in key spots.

If we're reasonably healthy, 6-3 in conference is the low water mark in my mind. There's a lot of talent on this team with an experienced OL/DL being taught by grown-ups.

They return their entire passing offense while we lose our secondary.

Not to mention historically the games in Pullman are always close. 1990 and 2000 were the exception. Both were top 5 teams nationally.

I expect to win but to write off the Cougs or think it will be a plunger raping is wishful thinking IMO.
I really hate WSU's scheme. At least against us. It was pass, pass, pass and more pass. They ran the ball maybe 4 times at most. You can't get anywhere if you don't have a running game and you're in constant air raid mode. Just like you can't win a war with your airforce alone. You've got to get in there with the heavy artillery and put bodies on the ground.

Depends on how the fall QB competition turns out but yeah, I generally see us favored in 6 games. Really nice to have Stanford, ASU, and UCLA at home because Husky Stadium is worth 4 or 5 points when it's rockin'.

I think we could be favored in 7.

Stanford and Arizona we could be slight favorites. UCLA probably a slight dog. Oregon will be favored over us for sure.

My guess is that the UCLA game is essentially a pick-em.

You could be right as I expect us to be 8-1 heading into that game. Could also have gameday as well.

I think we only lose to the two teams facing off in the P12 game: Oregon and UCLA.

I appreciate the optimism and I'm as big a fan of coach Petersen as anyone, however the QB position is highly unsettled and the Secondary has several holes to fill. If Sark coached this year, UW would finish no better than 8-5 before the bowl.

I am hearing our special teams are going to be special. Seriously though… We don't have to worry about kicking off or punting any more. I feel that we will be able to cover people. That alone would have got us a game last year vs a top ten opponent.
