Let’s get more yes men in positions of power.

I don't know if it's accurate or just CYA on the part of the Navy but according to them they were in agreement with the Captain that they needed to get the sailors off the boat and into quarantine and were working towards that end when the Captain went outside of the chain of command when he leaked his letter to the press.

If the Navy's version of the story is accurate the Captain did deserve to removed of his command.

It looks bad but the Navy takes that stuff seriously

Kind of low on the outrage meter at the moment.

The yes men are our beloved fellow citizens lining up like sheep to be led to the slaughter

I get that it looks bad but anyone who has ever served in the military or knows about the importance of the chain of command knows that what the Captain did was a big no, no. Again, all of this depends on if the Navy's version of the story is accurate.

Did the DOJ can Mueller for going outside the chain of command? Mueller knew from the beginning that there was no basis for the investigation. Warship in the area of Chicom operations. Nice status report Captain.

Captain is a moron. You don't send a letter like that knowing it will go public and undermine a forward deployed warship, no matter his intentions. He should have been canned. The end.

It was a major breach of security, there had to be some sort of action taken against him.
