Can we please give a hand to the private sector and capitalism.

I was at Costco yesterday and but for the paper products, toilet paper and paper towels they were fully stocked and open for business. Costco just announced a $2.00 an hour raise for any employee that works the duration from the beginning of March to the middle of April.
3M is now working round the clock and churning out millions of the 95 masks. Hell I just had to call a plumber to come out and do some work at my house and the guy showed up in less than a fucking hour.
America and capitalism fuck yeah!!!
Can you imagine if the government was in charge of keeping the stores open and stocked.

I'll be checking in on Joe Albertson tomorrow. The last two weeks the people at our store have been awesome. I've even been nice to them and help bag. You can tell they were frazzled so I had friendly words of encouragement.
In real life I can be a nice guy. Honest -

Morale at the Safeway has been pretty bad and their employees are rightfully scared but they still did their jobs and it's not as if the guys stocking the shelves are making big dough.RaceBannon said:I'll be checking in on Joe Albertson tomorrow. People want to work. We are trying to get back to work since we service a vital sector that needs vital carpet and paint but there are too many moving parts and vendors so far to get everyone to agree to show up. Nobody wants to force anyone which is fine with me. I have serious liability concerns at the moment since they are trying to make the GC responsible to sanitize every night.
I suspect it may not be as easy to restart the engine as hoped -
These truckers and grocers are the modern day Rosie the riveters.
But seriously we'd be fucked without them. -
