I have been informed that Oregon has demanded that golf courses stop course maintenance. Kate Brown said golf course maintenance is a non-essential business activity. Brown, who I would guess has never played a round of golf in her life, clearly does not know that shutting down maintenance will put all the clubs out of business and kill all those jobs that depend on the industry. Once a green goes to seed you might as well chemically burn it and start all over again which will take months.

Already the golf associations in the 46 states that have not followed Oregon's lead are educating their government on the impact of this stupid kind of ruling.

The overreaction by politicians is ridiculous and will do more harm than good.

    Landscapers appear to have been shut down. They work apart fro each other and the public pretends they don't exist. Seems harmless

    I'm sure the trillion dollar stimulus will cover illegals making 6 dollars an hour

    It's raining at my condo right now, and as I type this the landscapers are right outside my window mowing the grass.

    How some Carl Spackler dragging a hose around is endangering public health is fuckingly stupid.

    They are fucking golf courses - big wide open spaces with limited social contact.

    So Carl Spackler can go for a walk along the river in Portland along with a gazillion other germ carriers - but he can't drag a hose in peace or run a mower in peace. That's idiotic.
