Conservatism is dead

Is there a legit conservative movement that can stem the tide of the Nanny State exerting full control? Reason #7 may surprise you.
Is the argument now over how much not if at all?
Trump isn't a conservative and neither am I but we both thought at the beginning that fear and loathing weren't the way to go here. The people think different. As far as we are told.
Healthcare will be the end of freedom as we know it because its better than terrorism. You don't have a Twin Towers in the back yard but you might have COVID. Or get cancer. Or get hit by a bus.
Americans have become quite docile. Will we do this every year for the measles or "regular" flu? Will we shut the country down for 100 dead?
Far more damage is being done by these actions. Real damage yet it isn't even an issue for discussion.
Everyone is getting their agenda out there and its all about massive amounts of permanent free shit. Starting now.
The IRS isn't going to suspend shit. Someone needs to be out there working to pay for this.

I don’t care so much about ideological labels anymore. I’m in favor of policy solutions which are politically realistic and will work based on human nature. I know socialism isn’t the answer.

Hopefully we see those policies soon. See Calvin Coolidge for a template.YellowSnow said:I don’t care so much about ideological labels anymore. I’m in favor of policy solutions which are politically realistic and will work based on human nature. I know socialism isn’t the answer.

The Great Depression IMHO discredited the economis policies of BOTH FDR and 1920's era GOP.MikeDamone said:

Yes, we are seeing it in action. We've grown soft AF as a nation. We need to tuffen up and fix a lot of things. It needs to start with focussing on what's in the national interest over the long haul as opposed to short term gain. China is ground zero for short term gain hurting us bigly right now.RaceBannon said:
