Fuckin ignant up in this bitch. This isn't the flu. It's more contagious, the death rate is higher, and there is no vaccine. Stop comparing the two. Maybe it's going to get worse, maybe it isn't. I just know that Forrest Gump got it, experts are concerned, elderly are dying, US senators are quarantining themselves, symptoms don't show for 14 days, Iran is digging mass burial pits, and no one knows how to get tested. The day that you are making a comment on the internet is not the day in which the full-extent of the virus spread/consequences has been reached. Have some fucking foresight, you twats. This very well could just be the start of it, but maybe fucking not. I come in here and some are railing on about media conspiracies against Trump and bullying rational discussion like it's r/TheDonald. Get the fuck over yourself, internet tough guys. Christ. Be cautious, don't read Breitbart like a fucking moron, don't turn every fucking thing into political warfare, and LIPO. I feel like at a beer league softball game in Pensacola in here. I guess I'm new to the Tug. I'll gladly see myself out.

    Go Dawgs.

How easily does the virus spread?

Disease-modeling experts have estimated that on average, each infected person has transmitted the virus to about 2.6 others, though the range is between 1.5 and 3.5. Those rates are higher than for some influenza viruses, some are lower than SARS, and they are far lower than measles, in which one infected person can transmit the virus to 12 to 18 other people.

Public-health experts caution that these estimates are preliminary, change over time and can be lowered by measures to prevent the virus from spreading.

Experts are debating how easily the virus is transmitted. The WHO-led mission of experts who visited China reported that clusters of transmission occurred largely in families, suggesting close contact. Other outbreaks suggest more widespread patterns.

    From corona?
    No.

Fair enough but you seem to walk a fine line between true conservatism (small government) and a bigger, more progressive approach to government.
I'm a moderate who leans right, but am not an ideologue. I'm like Reagan and if I have to give on 30% to get 70% that's fine by me. The @RaceBannon grand bargain is perfect example of my politics: Keep your guns (inc AR's with 30 round mags) in exchanges for abortion being safe, legal and rare.

I also have a natural aversion to conspiracy theories.

Sounds sane. Hope the kid finds a new normal. One of my employees had their 10 year old diagnosed with it this week. He's into sports big time and they were devastated. I helped them realize tons and tons of professional athletes and executives have it too. While dangerous and a pain in the ass, it's a disease which can be handled without stopping one from most everything.

Kids usually grow out of what our 2 year has. But one never knows.

So if Cankles was POTUS and all other things being eqaul my kids wouldn't be out of school for 2 weeks now and NBA would still be on?

Good to know that my life is being fucked with in so many ways because of a conspiracy to get Trump.
Yes. We know this. See the 2009 H1N1 pandemic with 60,000,000 sick in America and 300,000 hospitalized. Not a fucking thing was disrupted. Why?

Expect the panic to intensify as testing expands and everyone with cold symptoms will warrant a breaking news alert.
