Could they actually afford to issue refunds? A lot of the work to put it on was done and paid for. My son’s band was going to perform, and I know there was a lot of pre-planning and ongoing effort taking place throughout the year.WilburHooksHands said:

Your Travel Flexibility
We remain committed to offering you flexible booking options. Given these unique circumstances we are making additional adjustments to our individual booking policies to give you extra peace of mind:
Government Restrictions. In regions affected by government-issued travel restrictions, we will continue to waive change fees or offer full refunds. Please click here for the latest information on our travel waivers.
Existing Reservations. All reservations – even those described as "non-cancellable" (“Advanced Purchase”) – that are scheduled for arrival before April 30, 2020, can be changed or cancelled at no charge up to 24 hours before your scheduled arrival.
New Reservations. Any reservation you make – even those described as “non-cancellable” (“Advanced Purchase”) – that are booked between today and April 30, 2020, for any future arrival date, can be changed or cancelled at no charge up to 24 hours before your scheduled arrival.
If you need to adjust reservations made via the Hilton website, app or call center, please contact the Hilton Guest Assistance team. If you need to adjust reservations made through another travel site, please contact them for assistance.

Also got one from the property manager of our rental telling us to stay away from the office and mail the check. They are close so I always drop off the rent because who can afford a stamp in THIS economy

If their limitation of liability clause covers this, that argument doesn’t need to be made in court. I’m just asking the question. Putting the LLC into bankruptcy isn’t going to get anyone a refund.WilburHooksHands said:

Inslee's declaration will let any conference of over 250 in Seattle off the hook for Force Majeure- i.e., acts of god that make it illegal or impossible to perform. A lot of these other conferences which have cancelled across the country, probably won't be able to get out their contracts yet w/o paying damages because it's not illegal or impossible for the event to occur. "Abundance of caution" or "inadvisable" isn't covered.

No. His use of executive power makes it "illegal" and/or "impossible" for some contracting parties to perform.
