Tough to win the dem nomination if you are gay or Jewish because that's a tough vote for the anti-gay and anti-Jooos wing of the dem party. Bernie isn't running as the smarmy New York Jew, but Bloomberg is. Mayor Butt Plug was running as a gay gun grabber. That's not really a program.

They did him dirty though. Made him get on Meet the Press in the morning and then torched his couch at lunch time.
I was intrigued with him and actually liked him after the first debate. Thought He won it rather easily.
But after Tulsi drug him off of the stage, He joined the mire of ID politics and wavered hard.
Hot take time but I think He’d go further as a Republican than a Democrat. If He didn’t have to resort to ID politics to be heard, which the party and the media demand, to be successful as a Dem, He’d do well imo.
He could get into the House rather easily. -

This move was his attempt at being considered for Biden's VP. The fix is in, they all know the rat leaders are going to give the election to Biden and Buttigeg (or however you spell his name) wanted to be second in line. Steyer was first to beg for the job.
