Didn’t listen but I like dogs but would never want one. They are a lot of work. I’m too lazy to want one.

Had one as a kid. We got one when I turned 40. Corky 1RoadDawg55 said:Didn’t listen but I like dogs but would never want one. They are a lot of work. I’m too lazy to want one.
At that age it's a personal trainer. Walk me -
Getting a dog changes everybody's life. Typically it's for the better. Dogs are better than people.
We somehow wound up with my kid's dog when he moved out of the house. And as if that wasn't enough, my wife is going to pick out a lab puppy this weekend.
I'm fucked - I can see it now. -
Corky 1 at 40. You guys must be on Corky 641 by now, huh?RaceBannon said:

I can’t imagine not having a dog.
Mrs Throbber v2.0 claims to hate dogs - but she’s brought 5 of them home for me over the last 10 years or so.
Mrs. Throbber v1.0 got rid of the only one she ever allowed in the house. -
When our first dog died it was so painful that we agreed never again. 30 days later we got Corky 2PurpleThrobber said:I can’t imagine not having a dog.

My wife once again claims this is the last one -
Didn't want a dog because I know I'm a soft piece of shit that would be owned by one. My wife wanted one, so it happened. And I was a soft piece of shit that is owned by
my wife'smy dog.
At least she's smart. Since she's 12 and declining rapidly, we thought it best to get a puppy for the kids while there would be a little overlap for training purposes. New puppy is dumber than square wheels. It's just not the same. -
Love dogs. Love freedom and money more.
May still end up getting one, because ultimately I hate money and freedom at the same time. -
The freedom part is big. Gotta let my dog out, can’t stay late, gotta bring my dog, gotta find someone to watch my dog, gotta make sure this place is dog friendly, etc. A puppy is more work than an infant human.huskyhooligan said:Love dogs. Love freedom and money more.

It’s been nearly a year since I had to put down my best friend. First and only dog. Quite honestly, I’m not sure I’ll ever get another. The pain of losing him was too much, and the freedom without him has been too great.

This is pretty close to what I was saying a year ago.DoogCourics said:It’s been nearly a year since I had to put down my best friend. First and only dog. Quite honestly, I’m not sure I’ll ever get another. The pain of losing him was too much, and the freedom without him has been too great.
By next week we'll have 2 dogs at home.

Let's not start another dead dog thread.

It may not be time yet but get another one. NOTHING loves their human like a good dog.Pitchfork51 said:Let's not start another dead dog thread.

It is good for our soul to be loved unconditionally. And so far, dogs are the only creature I've encountered who can do that.

You're not finding Hardcore Husky to be chock full of unconditional love?PurpleThrobber said:
