I’m hearing rising OC star John Donovan is in the running.

When you’ve been the assistant to the RBs coach for thee Jacksonville Jaguars, you’re kind of a big deal.Doog_de_Jour said:I’m hearing rising OC star John Donovan is in the running.

he's not on the short list yet...but there's a shot. -
I like some of those names on that list - Wilcox and Mora. But, I don't want to see CU great again so I hope they keep hiring fucktards.
-
Wilcox probably isn't a fucktard at least as far as UW is concerned but Mora would seem to be a great choice to not make CU great again89ute said:I like some of those names on that list - Wilcox and Mora. But, I don't want to see CU great again so I hope they keep hiring fucktards.
Wilcox has a sweet gig at Cal. Superior culture and all that

We should start a "Donovan to Minnesota?" thread and wait for the Twin City sportswriters to callDoog_de_Jour said:I’m hearing rising OC star John Donovan is in the running.

Nice fucktard hire. @RuffaloSoldier's silence speaks volumes.

He'll still have more talent to work with than MWhesttingham has ever had.89ute said:Nice fucktard hire. @RuffaloSoldier's silence speaks volumes.

It’s probably not his fault but Bieniemy was a coach with Jon Embree. Worst coaching in the PAC 12 other than maybe Paul Wulff and his staff.rodmansrage said:boofs not sleeping with bieniemy
Reid calls the plays in KC. Bieniemy can maybe do okay in the NFL where bad coaching can be hidden because everyone plays the same and a good QB is basically all you need to contend for a playoff spot.
He would get absolutely exposed in college football. Dorrell will be horrible anyways. Colorado is fucked. It would be nice if they could be good like they were in the old days. -
It’s pretty crazy. He probably makes under a mil in the NFL. 2 mil probably would have done it. That’s another $1.2 mil to spend on assistants and/or other shit.rodmansrage said: -
The difference is NFL pension money. I was acquainted with a former NFL O-coordinator who'd spent quite a bit of time in the Pac-10. He said he'd never go back to college (this was probably 20 year ago - the economics have changed for big money contracts at the college level). But he said it was too much baby-sitting, not enough coaching per se and the NFL benefits were untouchable.RoadDawg55 said:

At the time, he rattled off maybe 5 schools he'd have left his OC job for - big boys like Notre Dame, Ohio State, USC....otherwise, hard pass. Short term glory at the expense of his pension plan.

Noc about the buffs

Good post. Didn’t think of the pensions. It’s easy to understand why a coach would absolutely hate recruiting which is most of the job as a college coach, especially with the time you can spend with players limited.PurpleThrobber said:
