He could be picked to stay and if Williams is confident he can get another job easily, then it’s not that big of deal. He has a track record that will go beyond what happens at USC this year.Theironshiek said:It’d be a great get for USC but a questionable move on his part just because we all assume Helton is getting canned at some point this year. Why go somewhere the coach is going to get canned and not know if you’ll be retained.

Williams may find another job rather easily, but where those offers come might be the problem. It isn't guaranteed that a Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama, Ohio St., LSU, Clemson, etc. come calling. There's a chance his best offer after USC cleans house with Helton and the rest of them, might be a Nebraska, Kansas St., Boston College, type. Still Div 1, but not near the money he was making at Oregon and especially USC.RoadDawg55 said:

I wonder if they made a run at Will Harris

Why would they?insinceredawg said:I wonder if they made a run at Will Harris

Would guess Malloe is more likely. There's a reason we made him co-DCinsinceredawg said:I wonder if they made a run at Will Harris

Out with Nansen and in with Milloe. That makes sense purely for the Poly connections.Neighbor2972 said:

USC has been so incompetent with hiring coaches that its surprising when they actually make a reasonable hire. They should be poaching guys like Donte every year from Pac-12 schools.
Oregon will be fine though, I'd be surprised if this hurt their recruiting at all.
