I see your poont on the south being a dreckfest, and while you can make arguments for WSU winning each of those games, I don't see them being consistent enough to win them all.PostGameOrangeSlices said:
I honestly do. The south is a fucking dreckfest.Dardanus said:
You think WSU is two tossup games away from 10-2 next year? And they will win every P-12 South game (ASU being the only questionable game, and a tossup at that)?PostGameOrangeSlices said:Now let's take a look at the Coogs 2014 schedule
Aug. 28 – Rutgers (The Seattle Game) W
Sept. 6 – at Nevada W
Sept. 13 – Portland State W
Sept. 20 – Oregon L, though this could be interesting...
Sept. 27 – at Utah W
Oct. 4 – California (Homecoming) W
Oct. 10 – at Stanford L
Oct. 18 – Bye
Oct. 25 – Arizona (Dad’s Weekend) W
Nov. 1 – USC W, Sark is going to get fucking wrecked in this game, I know it
Nov. 8 – at Oregon State W, Riley is done
Nov. 15 – Bye
Nov. 22 – at Arizona State W/L, tossup...ASU loses their entire defense and Taylor Kelly is a bitch
Nov. 29 – Washington (Apple Cup) W/L
I honestly see the Coogs winning 8-9 games next year
Utah sucks.
Leach won at Zona last year, and Zona should be worse this year.
USC has Sark...nuf said on dat
I don't think ASU will be good next year. They looked like shit against Furd and looked even worse against Texas Tech in their bowl game, and they lose a bunch of starters.
If Leach is going to win 9 or 10 games, this is going to be the year to do it. Favorable conference schedule, senior QB, pantheon of good wide receivers with experience, improving defense.
Who knows which game(s) Leach is going to over-think himself into a loss, though. Could be any of them.
There is zero doubt in my mind that WSU is going to beat USC this year at home, and I can't fucking wait for that to happen.

I like the looks of that and wish I could agree but 8 wins is prolly the max for the Cougs next Season.
3-0 should be a lock. I don't see us beating Oregon just yet. Utah will be a struggle in Provo. Stanford aint happenin. AZ is no lock. USC will not be overlooking the Cougs after last season. OS is winnable . ASU aint happenin and the AC in Pullman is always in play for the Cougs.
7-5(4-5) is much more realistic though. While we return a Sr QB who looks to have a monster year, we have big ? marks in our secondary and also the Oline. The culture, despite the 4th qtr meltdown in the bowl game, has changed and we'll have more athletes on the field this year. But any more than 7 or 8 wins will take alot of stuff to line up in our favor. -
With any other coach in charge, I'd agree. Sloppy Seven's teams aren't known for their FOCUS, dammit.salemcoog said:

Agree on that. I just think the stars will align for them this year.salemcoog said:

As much as I'd love for USC to lose at Pullman especially if they blew a big lead while doing the lawnmower I don't see it happening.
As I pointed out in a different thread Leach will pull off an upset if not two but he'll also have one to two WTF games as well.
I think the Cougs go 7-5 maybe 8-4. They'll be a major thorn for UW given the game is in Pullman and return every WR/QB while UW is re-hauling their secondary. -
Take another look at Sark's road record, and the point differential in those games.He_Needs_More_Time said:As much as I'd love for USC to lose at Pullman especially if they blew a big lead while doing the lawnmower I don't see it happening.

Orange, I don't get where the infatuation for WSU is coming from. They should start out 3-0, but I wouldn't be entirely shocked to see Rutgers or Nevada beat them. They are getting plungered by Oregon. There's nothing interesting about it. Utah is 50/50 at best. Utah sucks, but they aren't that bad at home. Stanford lost to them and UCLA barely pulled it out against them in SLC. Cal is a win, Stanford a loss, Arizona 60/40. They probably win that game at home. USC is probably a loss, Oregon State is probably a loss, ASU is probably a loss, and the Apple Cup is probably a loss.PostGameOrangeSlices said:Now let's take a look at the Coogs 2014 schedule

O/U is probably 6 wins. Rutgers, Nevada, Portland State, and Cal are wins. The rest are toss ups at best. Connor Halliday can be good, but he's really inconsistent, and sucks most the time. Their running game is non existent, and their defense is average. It also lost its best player. It's more likely the have a losing season than win 8 or 9 IMO.
